Molly lived in Pennsylvania and started to perform professionally as a teenager at Philly's Prince Music Theater. Her first production as a professional included The Snow Queen. Following that, Molly portrayed Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated to win a Barrymore Award. Molly reprised the role in the production when she made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly was also in Broadway for the production in Fiddler on the Roof. Then, she attended Princeton University and was a part in the Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2008. It was during this time when she made her feature film debut in Disney's College Road Trip in the role of Wendy Greenhut. In the same time, she made her film debut in Disney in the film College Road Trip as Wendy Greenhut. Molly's career continued after graduation with several Off Broadway productions, one of those was End Days by Ensemble Studio Theater. Molly also worked on television as a character in Royal Pains as well as the HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly was a part of regional plays like The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as part of Barrington the Stage Company and the North Shore Music Theatre's production of 2008 as well as the Westport Country Playhouse 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank, in which she played Anne. Molly has starred in several regional productions, including The Diary of Anne Frank in Westport Country Playhouse's performance in the year 2010. She performed the role of the teenage daughter Ali.
